RNP Monitoring

All operators are required to monitor their RNP operation.

RNP monitoringThe RNP Monitoring tool proposed by Quovadis will ensure compliance with most aircraft guidance, adaptation of Flight Data Monitoring to RNP requirements. This innovative tool allows generating statistics about the number of RNP successful and unsuccessful procedure. Thanks to this system, operators can understand the reasons of unsuccessful procedures.

Today, list of main events are:

  • Navigation System Performance Alert
  • Navigation and Flight Guidance system failures
  • Excessive lateral or vertical deviation
  • TAWS cautions or warnings
  • Flight crew procedures deviations

All these events can be reported for analysis and corrective actions.

Operators flying RNP AR procedures will need to have a RNP monitoring program to ensure continuous compliance with regulations (FAA AC 90-101 Appendix 6, ICAO PBN manual, AMC 20.26).

Quovadis proposes an RNP monitoring tool which includes:

  • Data collection
  • Flight analysis: possibility to filter the results (per airport/ Magnetic bearing of the runway in use (QFU)/ procedure type). total of RNP AR procedures conducted, number of satisfactory approaches, reasons for unsatisfactory approaches such as: loss of RNP capability messages/ excessive lateral or vertical deviation, TAWS warnings/ Autopilot  disconnection, pilot reports of any anomaly
  • Automatic reports on single or multiple flights
  • Possibility to add flight crew comments
